Our founders, Hannah and Luke, met in 2015 at Syracuse University, after both being selected as Remembrance Scholars. Together with 33 other students, they were tasked with giving back in the Syracuse community in honor and remembrance of the lives lost in the bombing of Pan-Am Flight 103. Working together on community service initiatives, they realized how important community was to both of them. Since then, they been continually dreaming of ways to combine their passions and skills into a company focused on furthering the work of non-profits in the local community.
For Pause was founded in 2020, in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic. After Hannah was laid off in March as events around the world disappeared, Hannah and Luke dove headfirst into starting this company, fulfilling a long-term goal of utilizing their complementary skills together, to make an impact in the local community.

Hannah spent the early years of her career in the realms of local event marketing and worldwide corporate events. From local, store events to international conventions and travel, Hannah has planned and successfully executed events
of all size.
At For Pause, Hannah handles the logistics and execution of all development initiatives and events, from non-profit galas to fundraising projects and the logistics of video production. Hannah thrives on seeing a project come through to completion and loves all the minute, logistical steps
along the way.
When not dreaming up new ideas for For Pause, Hannah can be found reading a good book, enjoying the outdoors, volunteering with her church and local non-profits, and spending time with her pup and husband.

Hannah Rafferty - CEO
Luke has had a camera in his hands since childhood, filming events and brand promotional films since high school. His degree in photojournalism taught him to approach every production as a story to tell, with visuals acting as an aid to convey a message.
Luke has produced branded content and films for various clients: such as National Geographic, 21st Century Fox, JetBlue, American Airlines, and a variety of local and national non-profit organizations. At For Pause, he spearheads our creative initiatives and produces video/photo content for
our non-profit clients.
When not filming, Luke can be found flying around Chester county in a small plane, volunteering as an EMT with his local fire department, reading a good book, traveling the world, or hanging out with Hannah and their pup, Waverly.
